A total of 391 (8.89%) hospitalizations were necessary among children and adults. Regarding the etiological factors, it was possible to observe a greater number of burns caused by scalds.
Conclusions: The study showed a correspondence of the profile of burns when compared to other services, emphasizing the importance of greater population education for the prevention of burns, mainly in order to combat negligence with children.
