ABSTRACT
Liposuction, described in 1979, was the largest recent plastic surgery finding, and the most common surgical procedure in this specialty. Safety criteria of this procedure have been previously described, however, we conducted a literature review and a specific technique description to increase the safety of liposuction in abdominal region, in order to inform specialists and medical class about the main technical safety maneuvers during the procedure in this area.
